A punter has written in to sing the praises of Betfred, following his receipt of a withdrawal to debit card to the tune of a whopping £30,000.
The player stated that his account was locked upon sign up, with customer service telling him that it would be reopened once he had satisfied their KYC checks. The player sent his documents in and the account was sorted within the hour, after which he deposited and wagered on Justin Thomas to win the PGA Championship at 50/1, with a payday of £30,000 if the bet landed. It duly did.
The player said that he then withdrew the bulk of the money in the account with some trepidation, as depositing money is often much simpler than withdrawing it. However, the payout landed in his bank account within a couple of days without any further requests for documents.
All of which puts Betfred in a positive light, as well as emphasising how different the experience of customers would be if the KYC checks were carried out prior to a payout being requested.
